Christmas is fast approaching and there are many great places to get into the festive spirit, in more ways and one! You can’t beat taking some quality time out, grabbing a few drinks and a bite to eat with friends, family or work colleages and after an invite by Turtle Bay team to try out their new Christmas menu, we jumped at the chance #PRInvite | AD #ChristmasInPlymouth
The twist with Turtle Bay’s Christmas menu is the items are already available on the main menu, so if you are a fan of their Caribbean-inspired food, including jerk dishes, West Indian curries, soul food, you’ll be familiar on the choices available.
Both options of 2 courses £26, / 3 courses £31, gives you get a FREE Island Escape cocktail on arrival made up of Wray & Nephew overproof rum, Woods Navy rum, falernum, triple sec, cinnamon, lime, guava and orange, which hits the spot nicely while browsing through what to order.
We quickly got distraced after spotting the 2-4-1 offer on cocktails, so we decided to give them a go too (the offer is on everyday, any time before 6.30pm or after 9pm!). Mocktails are also available. The cocktails are full of flavour and ice cold, nice touch with the metal cups to help keep the tempature chilled and the melted ice is great to quench any periods of hot moments with spicy food.
We chose a mixture of dishes to give you an idea of how they look, each were well presented and full of flavour. It was hard to pindown our favourite dish, each of us likes different things, but all were satisfied with what was on offer and the desserts offered a nice touch of sweetness to finish off the meal.
The atmosphere in Turtle Bay with the Caribbean-inspired tunes playing quietly in the background and friendly staff + bright colours of both the surroundings and food/drink helps give a cheerful feel, offering a great way to lift your spirits be it Christmas or another occasion!
